A few years ago a friend of mine started a LiveJournal the day after we both went to a truly epic party, so her first entry detailed the fresh new experience of getting carried out of our mutual friend’s house with her head in a trash bag.  I only wish I had such an auspicious thing to write about to crown my first journal entry as a Real Writer, but I don’t so I stole hers.  Otherwise I would have to write about something boring, like how fortunate I am that I have a career that allows me to stay up  until four in the morning listening to Rob Zombie and downloading approximately 21,872 different fonts for my new Real Writer website (plus LJ), none of which are named “dimestore hooker.”

I bet all those kids who grew up to be astronauts are seething with envy.  In your face.
